Our members are at the heart of everything we do. Our Board comprises elected members from each of our member companies; they ratify our research programme and provide governance.

UKWIR directly employs a small core of office staff who facilitate the work of all those involved in the projects that we manage.

Our research programme is build from suggestions made by the membership which are democratically voted on until the programme is established. Projects are guided by the work of industry experts, 'Programme Leads' and our R&D Managers.

The Project Steering Group helps to scope and guide the project alongside a dedicated Project Manager, who is familiar with our procedures and can call on many years of relevant experience. Additionally, in many cases, we incorporate external specialist collaborators, often regulatory bodies, to ensure our outcomes are impartial and realistic.

Finally, we utilise specialist contractors, to collate the research work, deliver the objectives and produce the required outcomes.
